This ReCaptcha element for Zoo can be added to any submission layout to prevent spam

You can also change the look of the ReCaptcha, just select one of four different themes. And it is also possible to log failed reCaptcha attempts and IP addresses (using the file specified by 'error_log' in php.ini).

Configuration is easy, but you need to sign up and get a free public and private key from ReCaptcha (see also use reCAPTCHA on your site).

After that unzip the contents of the zip file into your joomla root directory. This will create the following folder: "/media/zoo/elements/yooniqueReCaptcha".

First you need to add the element to your item type as described in "Create and manager items". Here you also have to enter your public and private ReCaptcha keys. The element won't work without these keys.

Then you assign the element to your submission layout as described in "Assign elements to layout positions". You can also choose a theme from the dropdown list.

This should be all. If you have any question, please create a topic in our forums.

By the way, you can find more information about submissions here "Set up Frontend Submission".

If you want to see ReCaptcha in action, please check the "Business Directory" menu in our Zoo Demo.

This element is not compatible with Zoo 2.4 beta. But we will release a new version, when the final version of Zoo 2.4 is released.
